[Busan – September 22, 2022] The Upbit Developer Conference (hereinafter “UDC”) 2022 a festival that unites blockchain developers across the globe kicked off today.
Celebrating its 5th event this year, the UDC explores the changes in our everyday lives through blockchain innovation and shares a blueprint for the upcoming future of blockchain technology.
Under the theme of ‘Imagine your Blockchain Life’, UDC 2022 will be held at Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX) from September 22 to 23.
This year UDC plans to focus on the hottest trends in the blockchain industry such as NFT (Non-Fungible Token), Metaverse, DeFi (Decentralized Finance), and Web 3.0.
◆ Entering the Blockchain Generation
The event was started with the opening stage of Chi-Hyung Song—Chairman of Dunamu. Song said, "It’s hard to say how long this crypto-winter will last, but when it ends, I expect things will be completely different from before"
Song also highlighted "The interoperability and composability of blockchain will present a new direction to the global content market and creator economy fueled by OTT(Over-The-Top) and social media." He added "We may enter a 'blockchain generation' where wallets are more familiar than social media and where its routine to manage one’s identity through tokens.”
On day 1, September 22, lectures and panel discussions on Layer 2, Smart Contract, Web 3.0, security, and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) will be covered. It is also notable the lineup includes industry-leading experts:
- Dalip Tyagi, Head of Developer Relations of Polygon
- Matt Sorg, Head of Product & Partner Engineering of Solana Foundation
- Mel McCann, Vice President of Engineering of Cardano Foundation.
On day 2, September 23, UDC 2022 will feature a wide range of presentations and discussions on latest blockchain trends—NFT (Non-Fungible Token), Metaverse, gaming, and travel rules. The attendees will have a chance to listen to the talks from high-level speakers including:
- Alexandre Dreyfus, Founder & CEO of Chiliz & Socios.com
- Justin Sun, Founder of Tron
- Sebastien Borget, COO & Co-Founder of The Sandbox
- Shiti Rastogi Manghani, CMO of STEPN
There will be special programs like NFT Gallery, exhibition, and networking dinner as well. At the NFT Gallery, located in the lobby on the fifth floor, attendees can enjoy various works of notable artists such as creator Junyeop Koo(DJ Koo), EBS director Gyeol Han who produced Pengsoo, and the Master of Fine Art Nampyo Kim.
